A Wedding!

So my friend Lori got married yesterday. She was my roommate last year and over the summer. It was so fun to see her married in the temple. She only has been a member for a few years and her family life isn't ideal, so an eternal marriage in the temple is an especial blessing. I am so grateful that the gospel provides a way to become better and more than we naturally are.

Lori wasn't going to have a reception because of some family drama that occurred while planning the wedding. She has worked at the CougarEat since she came to BYU and now holds a management position there. Her coworkers decided to have a reception for her in the CougarEat- maybe not the first choice for a wedding reception, but it turned out wonderful! They blocked off an area of the room just for the reception and decorated the tables and put out pictures of Lori and Steve. It was beautiful to see the love that her friends had for her and their willingness to give. It was so simple, but a perfect celebration of the love and happiness of the new couple!
